At the Beaverbrook Art Gallery we are committed to working with our Indigenous partners to develop new opportunities for learning, sharing and showcasing their culture. This is even more essential at a time when reconciliation should be at the forefront of our minds.
We are excited to present a new Gallery program, Shared Spaces, highlighting Indigenous art and artists of the region. This is made possible through a challenge grant of $50,000 offered to us by the J.T. Clark Family Foundation.
In order to receive the grant, the Gallery must meet the J.T. Clark Family Foundation’s challenge by raising matching funds of $50,000 by the end of September 2021.
From now through September 30, 2021, every donation will earn the Gallery a matching donation.
This additional funding will significantly expand our Indigenous programming over the next three years allowing:
- A dedicated Indigenous Curator organizing more exhibitions featuring established and emerging Indigenous artists from New Brunswick and the rest of Canada;
- Expanded Artist-in-Residence and Elder-in-Residence programs over the next three years;
- Specific and expanded educational programs and tours relating to Indigenous art supporting school curriculums across New Brunswick, including bilingual, animated, interpretive online videos for youth.
Please help us meet the J.T. Clark Family Foundation’s challenge of $50,000 by donating
