Our Mission

The Batshaw Youth & Family Centres Foundation’s mission is to empower the vulnerable children, youth & families served by Quebec Youth Protection and other services for youth in difficulty, by providing them with funding, tools and opportunities so that they can unlock their potential and achieve success — now and into the future.

The Foundation supports the clients of the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres, where public funds are not available.

Program Areas

Family Emergency & Prevention: Investing in prevention programs and providing basic necessities to at-risk families strengthens a parent's ability to keep their children safely at home.

Education & Employability: Providing current and former Batshaw youth with educational supports, along with the opportunity to receive post-secondary education or job skills training, allows them to continue their journey of perseverance and realize their potential.

Well-being: Access to pet therapy, summer camp, cooking workshops, sports & other activities improves the mental and physical well-being of children in Batshaw’s care and allows them to get back to being kids. 

Transition to Adulthood: Preparing youth, whom often have little or no family support, as they age out of care, as well as providing financial assistance and housing support gives them the freedom to see beyond their basic needs.
