I recently joined BALANCE, and in a short time, I have learned so much about their community, staff, and services. It has completely changed my perspective. Not many people know that I lost most of the vision in my left eye when I was younger. For years, I never thought about seeking support or talking about my experience.
But now, working at BALANCE, I have realized how important it is to have a community that has your back. Seeing how they help so many people feel understood and supported has been eye-opening. While I haven't needed their services myself, I know that if I ever do, BALANCE is where I will start.
