Hi, my name is Kim! I have been blind since birth, and by a recommendation from a family friend a few years ago, I was connected with BALANCE for Blind Adults, and have taken advantage of many of their programs and services, like mobility training when I lived in Toronto.
Because of BALANCE, I am able to share my love of helping others, with the valuable training I learned in the AT Apprenticeship Program. It has given me valuable work experience and confidence. I have always enjoyed teaching. The apprenticeship program has helped me become competent, and become a better instructor.
I am currently enrolled in the Pre-Employment Program, which is helping me obtain strategies for finding work.
