Overview

Bach on the Rock is pleased to once again bring Handel's Messiah to Fulford Hall on Salt Spring.  This year it will be a sing-along version, where the audience is invited to sing along with chorus numbers where they feel so inclined. Come and share a beloved Christmas tradition with us! 

Details

Concert starts at 2:30 pm, doors open at 2:00.  We will have vocal scores to lend out to audience members who plan to sing along.  Tickets are available online here until midnight on December 9, and at the door starting at 1:30 pm December 10th, with payment by cash, card, or cheque.

About This Charity

The Bach on the Rock Music Society is the umbrella organization for the Salt Spring Chamber Choir and the Salt Spring Chamber Orchestra. The purposes of the society are to: -encourage the appreciation of classical music (broadly defined) on Salt Spring Island; -provide both performers and listeners with opportunities to enjoy live performances; -welcome and actively encourage musicians of a wide range of ages; -welcome and actively encourage both professional and amateur musicians; -establish high standards of musical preparation and diligence; -facilitate affordable access to live performances; -develop and maintain an island-based choir and orchestra; -provide opportunities for musicians to enhance their skills through workshops; -minimise reliance on off-island musicians; and -provide both separate and joint performance opportunities for choir and orchestra.
