About AURORA HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Aurora Historical Society was founded in 1963. The Society has owned and operated Hillary House National Historic Site since 1981 and operates it as a museum and educational centre. The Society is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small staff, with assistance from many member volunteers. The AHS counts on the support of private and corporate donors to allow us to continue to promote and preserve local heritage and to continue upkeep and restoration of historic Hillary House.
