This World Lung Day (September 25) join the Asthma Canada team in Getting Active For Asthma!

Together, we are taking action to raise awareness about this chronic disease that affects the lives of over 3.8 million Canadians by completing an individual fitness challenge on World Lung Day and fundraising to support the asthma community.

This past year has been a difficult time for all Canadians, especially for those living with chronic conditions. COVID-19 has changed a lot of things, but it hasn't changed the importance of supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. World Lung Day gives the asthma community the opportunity to stand united across Canada (while also staying socially distanced) to raise awareness about asthma and raise funds to support those struggling to manage their disease.

We invite you to join us in our first ever virtual fitness challenge! By Getting Active For Asthma you can stay safe, set your own goals, and show your support for individuals and families impacted by asthma across the country.

How to Join:

1. Set Your Fitness Goal: Just as not everyone's asthma is the same, not everyone will want to set the same fitness goal. Do you love running? Cycling? Prefer to swim? Whatever way you choose to get active, there is truly no goal too big or small. You can run 5K, take your dog on a walk or cycle around the block; no matter what you decide to do, you'll be making a difference!

2. Fundraise: Once you have decided on your type of fitness challenge and goal, you can create an individual or team fundraising page by clicking one of the buttons above. It's easy, lets you share your fundraiser with your friends & family and allows you to securely collect donations online and receive tax receipts immediately.

3. Get Active For Asthma & Have Fun: On World Lung Day (September, 25) complete your fitness personal fitness challenge and share your success on social media (make sure to tag Asthma Canada!). Most importantly, have fun with your challenge knowing that you are making a tangible difference for Canadians living with asthma.
