We are excited to announce that for the first time in the past three years we will be able to host our annual Walkathon again!! This year is the 25th anniversary of the humane society, so its only fitting that we celebrate at what has always been one of the most important fundraisers we have!
The Walk-a-Thon is an opportunity to come out and support the shelter by walking or helping to raise much needed funds with pledges and donations. Arnprior & District Humane Society is a non-profit that survives with help and support from the community which is why fundraising, like our Walk-a-Thon, is so important!
It's through events like this and the kindness of our supporters that we are able to provide medical care, food, and shelter for those that come to us. Our goal is to find forever homes for the cats and dogs in our shelter, but also to provide a safe environment where they can live comfortably as long as that takes. We also aim to encourage and educate people to help them and their pets live the best lives through spay and neutering awareness and responsible pet ownership.

This year the Walkathon will be held at the shelter, 490 Didak Drive on Saturday October 1st, registration will start at 11am and the walk will start at noon. There be both a 2km and 5km walk, as well as a charity BBQ. Everyone is welcome!
