We have been dealt a tremendous blow. On the night of Sunday March 16th, due to high temperatures, quick melting, plus the rain, our shelter took on a substantial amount of water.
We received a second blow when we found out that this weather event/ground water flooding is not covered by our insurance (we are also not covered for tsunami..in case we were interested).
We are now in desperate and serious need of fundraising to cover the remediation and restoration of the building and to attempt to fix the outside grading so this doesn’t reoccur in the future.
