ALERT provides assistance to animals in evacuating and caring for animals in emergency situations. Currently, ALERT is providing care, food and water to animals left behind in evacuated areas, as well as hundreds of animals in our emergency care facilities. ALERT volunteers are providing hundreds of hours of work in the Central and Southern Okanagan and Similkameen areas during the last month. ALERT is running short of animal supplies. Any financial contribution would be gratefully accepted. During this fire disaster, they have provided their time and energy - it would be great if contributions could support the volunteers to buy their fuel as they are driving hundreds of kilometers a day to get to and care for animals who are in the evacuation zone.
