About Amarok Society
Amarok Society is dedicated to the freedom of children – freedom from violence, poverty, and oppression. That all starts with education.
But right now, more than half of the world's children are failing to meet basic educational benchmarks. That means conventional schools are failing to reach children around the world.
That’s why Amarok Society has created a new model of education: teaching mothers to teach children.
Each mother attends an Amarok Society school every day. Then, at home, she teaches 5 children everything she's learned.
Those children will advance to higher levels of education, moving from destitution to university graduation.
The mothers themselves, empowered by education, become leaders in the communities. Their accomplishments are extraordinary, and range from opening food banks to eradicating child marriage. We have operated schools for mothers in Nigeria, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Everywhere we go we have found courageous mothers who are committed to giving all children an education.
