Overview
Join us for an evening celebrating local authors, literacy, and the freedom to read at ALSO’s third annual banned book night, Off the Pages: A Celebration of Banned Books, on Friday, April 11.
Local authors will read from their favourite banned books. This year’s guest authors are Dr. Monia Mazigh, Suyi Davies Okungbowa, Kevin Hearne and Dancia Kendra Susilo.
Enjoy the live music, finger food and drinks. A fabulous silent auction will take place and the Ottawa Public Library will have a book booth. This event features ASL interpretation and is open to both the hearing and Deaf communities.
Funds raised from ticket sales and the silent auction will directly benefit ALSO and the adults and families we serve in the Ottawa community.
