Adopted our first dog from Lindsay, ON, in 1990. We had Buffy until she died and then we adopted again, from Barrie, ON, and Koal was with us for 17 years.
We have Charkoal, adopted from Midland Pound and she is now almost 9 years of age. After seeing a dog in Texas, USA, we saw her need and adopted her, so that she could be a Canadian dog. She is 2 years old and Charkoal and her get along great. Miss Ellie was roughly treated and she developed a skin ailment that is a result of the stress she encountered. Put into dark areas, with no access to light and then being prodded. Now she gets so much love and she is the queen in our house.
I have no reason why a dog would be purchased from a Breeder. Some are great and some get a bad name.
What a worth while Fundraiser with such a great purpose.
Keep on barking and meowing as loud as you can, so that you stay noticed.
