The Woof Walk (formerly known as the "Walk-A-Dog-A-Thon") is our annual fundraiser to support our shelter and the homeless animals in our community. Participants will fundraise by collecting online donations through this webpage or by collecting "old-school" using our printable pledge form. Feel free to build a team with family and friends - and most importantly have fun! We are aiming to raise $10,000 with your help. Let's make this our best "Woof Walk" yet!
We encourage those fundraising online to attend the Woof Walk event in-person, but if you can't attend, you don't have to miss out! You are welcome to still fundraise online and you can participate "virtually" by posting a photo of you walking on social media with #ADHSWoofWalk on the day of the event.
Will You Walk to Help the Homeless Animals in Your Community?
Join us on September 10, 2022 at the Alliston & District Humane Society Shelter for a fun-filled day. The walk will wrap around our ponds and all across our beautiful property. Registration begins at 11 am with the walk getting underway at 11:30 am. Enjoy a FREE BBQ lunch and participate in some fun dog games at noon. There will be prizes for the top five fundraisers and the first 75 walkers registered will receive a doggy goody bag courtesy of our sponsors.
RSVP for your chance to win our early bird prize - a $50 gift card to Starbucks. The deadline for entering into the early bird draw is September 1st. Hurry if you want a chance to win!
This Year's Woof Walk is Dedicated to the Memory of Ernie Ogle and Don Shannon
Ernie was the ADHS President who was instrumental in building the shelter we have today. Don was a long time, dedicated dog volunteer and always the first to raise his hand for any task that needed done at the shelter. He loved the dogs and was a joy to work with. They are both greatly missed.
