This profile is for the new organization, Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Division and Centre for Suicide Prevention, which officially combined in September 2024.

It is the intended recipient for donations previously designated for "Business Number: 823280870RR0001 - CENTRE FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION (2005)."

Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Division (CMHA Alberta) and Centre for Suicide Prevention (CSP) have combined, and, through our aligned missions, work to further community mental health and suicide prevention across the province.

We are leaders in community mental health and suicide prevention.

Together with CMHA Regions across the province, we are building a compassionate and empathetic Alberta, an Alberta where people’s wellbeing is supported in the community where they live – by a friend, a peer, a support group, their local CMHA office or the medical system. Together, we can build mentally healthy communities where Albertans live and thrive.

Current and future donations to support our work will continue to be received with gratitude through our new profile on CanadaHelps.

Your gift helps build mentally healthy communities in Alberta:

• CMHA Alberta + CSP has over 50,000 social media followers and approximately 5,000 mailing list subscribers.
• Annually, we deliver over 500 workshops and log over 85,000 learning hours.
• Each year, our website attracts more than 230,000 unique visits.

Donations to CMHA Alberta and Centre for Suicide Prevention help support our widespread work in community mental health and suicide prevention.

• Buddy Up (year-round men’s suicide prevention campaign)
• Caregiver Connections (providing peer support for parents and caregivers)
• Healthy Campus Alberta (building caring post-secondary campus cultures)
• OSI-CAN Alberta (community based peer support for First Responders)
• Recovery College (free mental health recovery-focused courses for everyone)
• Run for Life (annual suicide awareness and commemoration event)
• Rural Mental Health (strengthening mental health in rural communities)
• Working Stronger (equipping mental health in the workplace)
