Our Mission
The African Communities of Manitoba Inc. (ACOMI) promotes programs, projects and activities for the encouragement, support and advancement of the African community in Manitoba, including the preservation and promotion of its unique culture and human heritage.
About AFRICAN COMMUNITIES OF MANITOBA INC.
ACOMI operates a resource centre in downtown Winnipeg for the delivery of food and emergency supplies; literacy programs; employment training and mentoring; referral services; and counselling for the benefit of the community.
Acomi also provides secondary and post-secondary scholarships and bursaries to qualified low-income students of African heritage for the advancement of education within the community.
