Our Mission
Our purpose is to advance education and relieve poverty in the developing world by acquiring school materials, books, equipment, and supplies of all kinds and donating them to schools; teaching computer skills to students and teachers; building and operating schools, and providing teachers, technicians, and other staff to schools as needed. We also address basic needs by providing food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and education to children and young people.
About AFRETECH AID SOCIETY
We are a hands-on, all volunteer charity providing tangible educational resources: schools, libraries, science labs, etc. Working with local organizations, we also address the most basic needs of street children, AIDS orphans, and other vulnerable youth. We estimate that we have already touched over half a million lives.
And just now we have come up with an education game changer for IT throughout the developing world: ARES - the African Ruggedized Education System. For a very reasonable cost, we can offer the Internet without the Internet, providing access to all the information students need. One unit covers an entire school- or it can even be used under a tree in Turkana.
