Action Against Hunger Canada is an international humanitarian organization that fights hunger and its root causes worldwide.

With over 40 years of experience in conflict zones, natural disasters, and response to food crises, we are one of the most important international organizations specializing in hunger and its underlying causes.

Thanks to our generous donors, we help over 21 million people across 56 countries every year.

Nutrition and Health

Today, undernutrition is the single greatest threat to child survival worldwide. At least 17 million children suffer from severe acute undernutrition around the world even though it is PREDICTABLE, PREVENTABLE and TREATABLE.

Water, Sanitation & Hygiene

Every day 1,000 children die from illnesses like diarrhea, dysentery, and cholera caused by unsafe water and unhygienic living conditions. We can’t fight malnutrition without tackling the waterborne diseases that contribute to it.

Food security and Livelihoods

Our programs tackle the root causes of hunger by addressing problems of production, access, and income.

Emergency response

With emergency teams on call 24 hours a day, our internationally renowned rapid response capabilities ensure that life-saving assistance can be delivered anywhere in the world when needs arise.
