About Access Youth Outreach Services

We meet youth where they are, to help them get to where they want to go.

Access Youth is an award-winning, independent, progressive and innovative community-based, registered charity established in 1993. We deliver innovative programs and services for youth ages 12-23 who are marginalised and/ord experiencing multiple barriers. Our programs promote mental wellness, food security, and connection back to community.

Access Youth's core program, Project Reach Out, is the first mobile drop-in centre and outreach program for street-involved youth. Since its inception, Project Reach Out has made over 35,000 connections in the community, providing engagement with youth. 

The Youth Empowerment Worker program is a referral-based program that is open to all youth who are facing barriers between the ages of 12 – 23. The Youth Empowerment Worker program focuses on four key areas of support: Individual, peer, school and community. 

Youth Gour-Made is truly a one-of-kind program. Each week the Gour-Made team delivers right to your front door a recipe of the week, the food parcels with all the ingredients needed to complete the recipe of the week, enough ingredients for youth participants to feed their entire household dinner with the recipe of the week, and a recipe card with step-by-step cooking instructions.  

The Art Journaling Group is a weekly after-school program. Each week is a themed conversation around topics like consent, boundaries, what do healthy relationships look like, substance use/abuse and many other important topics of conversation for our youth to explore together guided by a facilitator. Each topic is paired with a corresponding art project that complements the topic.
