Our goal is to ensure everyone in the GTA and Hamilton has the opportunity to reach their potential through sustainable employment and self-employment. By providing access to affordable loans, we help people achieve their dream of owning a business or finding success in a rewarding career.

About ACCESS Community Capital Fund

Since 1999, we’ve been providing solutions to poverty by helping people secure loans at affordable rates—people who would normally be turned away by banks. Over half our clients are women, and were born outside of Canada. What they all have in common is a dream to reach their potential.

We go a step further from just helping with loans: through our workshop and speaker series, we’re able to provide education on personal finance, managing debt and increasing economic opportunities.

For our business clients we provide support through our volunteer coaches to ensure emerging entrepreneurs can rely on expert advice and guidance.

We’ve recently started working with foreign-trained individuals, to make sure that new Canadians can find work that matches their skills and education.

Our loans have a lasting impact: by acting as a gateway to obtaining funds, an ACCESS loan can establish and improve credit rating, opening the door to more financial opportunities.
