Overview

Be part of a legacy...

By purchasing an engraved brick for A Place Called Home, you become part of a legacy. People who took part in our first Brick Campaign purchased bricks engraved with their own name or a business or organization name. Some chose to honour the memory of a friend or family member by having their name engraved on a brick while others had inspiring phrases engraved.

The cost of an engraved brick is $250.00 and a $200.00 tax receipt will be issued.

Details

This campaign will support A Place Called Home and our new emergency shelter.

In June 2022, thanks to an outpouring of support from our community, we opened our new, purpose built 19 bed emergency shelter in Lindsay, ON.

Following a fantastic response to our initial brick campaign, we are once again offering engraved bricks for those who wish to support our agency.

Your donation will be instrumental in helping us pay for the increased operating expenses of our new and larger shelter so that we can continue to provide shelter to the most vulnerable men, women, and families in our community.

About This Charity

A Place Called Home (APCH) is a not-for-profit charitable organization that provides shelter and round-the-clock support to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton ). The organization began operations in 1995 as a grassroots effort springing from faith-based volunteerism. At APCH, we help people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless find shelter, assistance, and community. Our philosophy is welcoming and non-judgmental. Unlike many agencies, we accept everyone. Individuals and families, men and women of all ages, are welcome. People living with addictions, mental health and other issues that affect their ability to find and maintain housing know that APCH is open to them. We listen and provide support. We make a difference.
