Overview

Please support A New Day in our fight to end Human Trafficking by joining us for an exciting evening of Retail Therapy, a Fashion Show, Wine and Hors D'oeuvres.  Help support our home for women, ages 16-26, who are seeking recovery from the trauma of Commercial Sexual Exploitation.

Slavery didn't end....it just went underground and Ottawa is not immune.              90% of persons being trafficked in Canada are Canadian residents.  Human Trafficking is a horrific business which violates every aspect of an individual’s human rights. These individuals are repeatedly raped, physically abused, deprived of their basic needs, and estranged from family, friends and culture.

About This Charity

A New Day Youth and Adult Services strives to provide all women, seeking recovery from the trauma of sexual exploitation, a HOME. Our HOME is a safe place that offers comprehensive, client centred services focused on Individual Transformation through mind, body and soul. We provide a safe, nonjudgmental restorative residential program to enhance the lives of sex trafficked youth and young adults. A New Day focuses on the survivors needs and interests by providing individuals with empathetic, consistent support, trauma informed care and viable opportunities for positive change. A New Day’s 18-month, restorative residential housing model was developed in consultation with mental health specialists, survivors with lived experience and social workers. All Individual case management and goal planning/work is survivor led.
