WILD ROSE SANCTUARY INC.,  located in Kings County, Prince Edward Island, Canada, is a registered not-for-profit and charitable organization. We rescue horses that have been neglected, abused and headed to slaughter, giving them a forever home.  There are over 70 horses residing here at the Sanctuary.  Some come with specialized care requirements.  It is vital that the horses receive a reliable supply of quality hay, straw and supplements, veterinary care, farrier care, plus the list goes on.  This is the most expensive aspect of caring for these special horses.  Although it may seem overwhelming, all you have to do is look one of these horses in the eye for just a moment and it becomes very clear what a worthy cause this is!  Each year we hope to raise enough funds to cover the costs of caring for the horses.  Whether it is a one-time donation or a monthly donation or sponsorship, every little bit counts.  We offer a monthly sponsorship program in which anyone can sponsor a horse for $30.00 a month which in turn helps to cover costs of caring for the horses.

Our mission is to bring public awareness to rescue horses and give them a lifelong Sanctuary.  On a daily basis we educate the public on care and feeding horses when visiting our sanctuary.  Visitors have the opportunity to interact personally with the horses.  

We are a registered Canadian charity and rely solely on donations to support our Sanctuary.
