On February 17th I will once again be participating in a 30 km snowshoe in support of LEC and "at risk" youth throughout Nova Scotia. This will be my 3rd year doing the snowshoe and I'm hoping to raise $1000 for this great cause. The money raised goes back to programs and services for students who may not otherwise have access to them as well as things as simple as food and clothing. I've been lucky enough to work closely on occasion with the staff at LEC and the work they do with their students is second to none. They have built a community for their students and provide them with experiences and relationships that makes a real difference in their lives. Funds raised through The Big Chill will go directly to continuing and improving these programs and initiatives.
