30KM Challenge for Growth by Lisa Hannam

  The BIG CHILL snowshoe challenge is a Give to Live event created to raise funds and gain support from our community for Lawrencetown Education Centre. LEC is an alternative high school for at risk youth focused on experiential learning, outdoor education and above all building trust.

  As an LEC Graduate of 2011, I know first hand how crucial access to this type of learning environment is for so many students. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to watch my own and others lives change as a direct result of the dedication that the staff and students of LEC put forth.

  I am honored to be participating in the 30KM snowshoe loop and hope to raise $500 for the students of LEC. Please help us to reach our goal so that we may continue to help guide at risk youth of the Annapolis valley through their own mountains.
