THE BIG CHILL

GIVETOLIVE, in conjunction with The Rotary Club of Middleton, presents their 3rd Annual BIG CHILL Snowshoe Challenge!

You can participate in a 5 km, 15 km, and 30 km snowshoe event in the Annapolis Valley in support of the Lawrencetown Education Centre and Nova Scotia’s at risk youth.

This event will take place on February 17, 2018 with a snow date of February 24, 2018 and will certainly be the best day you will spend in the snow all year!

You are able to participate as an individual or team but remember to add your personal commitment to the team total.  For example if you have 4 team members participating at the $500 level, your team commitment would be $2000.  

The Lawrencetown Education Centre is a charity that supports at risk youth in Atlantic Canada. Their motto, “Challenge for Growth”, empowers their students to be leaders in their communities and their own lives. They foster success through experiential learning programs coupled with traditional educational practices.

Who: Lawrencetown Education Centre and At risk youth in Atlantic Canada.

What:  5KM, ½ Marathon, and Full Marathon*

When: February 17, 2018 with a snow date of February 24, 2018

Where:  North Mountain of Middleton in the Annapolis Valley

Why: To support “at risk” youth of Atlantic Canada to foster empowerment and success through experiential leadership programs. Help us show these students that their lives and learning matter.

* LEC has defined the marathon distance in snowshoes as a 30km distance with a half marathon at 15km.
