On behalf of the 3115 children and youth, as well as their parents and caregivers, who have accessed support through New Path past year, I would like to extend my gratitude for your continued support. Fostering healthy, strong communities is at the core of our work and we believe that leading with evidence-based and empathetic service delivery is key to providing exceptional care. This is not a one-size fits all. A multi-service approach allows us to see the big picture for those we serve, understanding their unique needs and how to best integrate our supports into their journey.
As our community continues to grow, so does the need for mental health services. Each year, so many children, youth, and families come to us seeking support, but many still face significant barriers to accessing the care they need. Some barriers are logistical—such as transportation, lack of internet access, or difficulty attending in-person appointments. Others are financial, as many families struggle to cover the additional costs of mental health resources, such as educational materials, travel costs, or other support services that are critical to the success of their mental health journey.
Through your donation, we have a fund dedicated to addressing the specific needs of the families and youth we support. This allows us to purchase resources like mental health manuals for parents and children, provide bus tickets for those who need transportation to attend appointments, or supply craft kits, sports equipment, or tutoring support for youth in our Live-In Treatment Services program. This personalized approach is what makes New Path unique—we tailor our response based on what our children, youth, and families need, making sure they have access to the resources that can help them succeed. This is not a one-size fits all.
These barriers cannot be ignored. That is why we are so grateful for the generosity of our donors, like you, to help bridge the gap and ensure that mental health care remains free and accessible to all. Your support is crucial in removing obstacles and providing children, youth, and families with the tools they need to thrive. Thank you for helping us build a healthier, stronger community.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and prosperous New Year.
With gratitude,
Jim Harris
