Literacy Alberni is a not-for-profit literacy provider serving the Port Alberni community and the west coast of Vancouver Island. In a town of unusually low literacy, we strive to elevate the literacy levels of the people in our community by providing adult and family literacy programming. We are the area’s immigrant settlement and welcoming center, opening our doors to all newcomers and non-English speakers.

Literacy Alberni facilitates the popular education support program, Klitsa Tutoring, which provides academic support to learners in our community through one-on-one or small group sessions with professional educators. We gratefully accept donations to our Subsidized Tutoring Program which provides professional tutoring services to low-income learners in our community.

100% of all donations stay local and support learning in the Alberni Valley.
