End Hunger in PEI
In 2015, a group of young Monks heard about food insecurity on PEI and decided to help. They started by baking bread rolls with home milled flour, free of pesticide and herbicide.
These bread rolls were sent to those in need, food banks, local schools' breakfast program, community fridge, charity fundraisers, and etc.
The bread rolls are also available to the general public during fundraisers. The proceeds will be used for fulfilling food boxes with items purchased from local farmers and businesses
The food boxes may be requested by anyone facing food insecurity. The qualification is need-based and first-come-first-serve.
So far we've sent out more than 3500 boxes Island-wide to people in need.
