Stranger Songs with Mike Regenstreif finds connections and develops themes in various genres (mostly, but not exclusively, roots-oriented).
Mike Regenstreif has been hosting roots music programs on community radio stations for more than 30 years, starting at CKUT in Montreal in 1994, and continuing on CKCU.
In 2017, Mike was the first Canadian to be inducted into the Folk DJ Hall of Fame of Folk Alliance International, and, In 2014, he was the recipient of the Ottawa Folk Festival's Helen Verger Award for "significant, sustained contributions to folk/roots music in Canada."
From his days as a concert producer in Montreal in the 1970s and '80s, as a music journalist, and radio curator/host, Mike has enjoyed sharing the music he loves.
