We are Jim Reil and Ron Steeds - two lovers of jazz music. We decided to create a unique program devoted entirely to the jazz record. We felt that listeners would appreciate an in-depth look and listen to entire albums. So we devised a format in which we would each choose albums that would compliment the other's selection, exclusively on vinyl. We would alternate who went first on each episode. We would play each side in its entirety during each set and we would discuss what we had heard.
Both of us have hosted jazz programs at CKCU-FM 93.1 for decades because we know there are listeners out there who crave this vital musical genre. We believe we are offering the listener a singular listening experience they cannot find anywhere else on the radio.
