First Crush is a community-minded radio show and event series hosted by Zoë Argiropulos-Hunter. Zoë is an event producer, magazine editor, radio show host & DJ based in so-called Ottawa. In all facets of her work, Zoë is passionate about uplifting and empowering independent creatives and emphasizing arts programming as a form of community care.
Founded in 2016, First Crush has been a hub of support for local musicians and like creatives. Individuals spotlighted on the show include Polaris Prize winners Lido Pimienta and BACKXWASH, as well as a plethora of Ottawa-Gatineau mainstays like Scattered Clouds, fanclubwallet and notable musicologist Dr. Jada Watson from the University of Ottawa, and countless others that Zoë has invited to play shows around town.
First Crush began Zoë's career in the music industry, where she has gone on to co-found her own publication, Also Cool Mag, and forge relationships with taste and change-makers from across the country.
