18th Annual Hike for Hospice

The Hike for Hospice fundraiser is the largest event in Canada aimed at raising awareness and funds for those with life-limiting illnesses, caregivers, and the bereaved.

This spring get active on behalf of the Sea to Sky Hospice Society! Create a team or make a donation as we fundraise on behalf of our programs and services. Join us on Saturday, May 25th at O’Siyam Pavilion & Junction Park as we celebrate a spring of fundraising for the Sea to Sky Hospice Society.

We invite you to hike, bike, golf, run, do yoga, dance or whatever moves you and simply get active for hospice and make a difference!

Throughout April and May, (or anytime) make an individual donation or gather a team and or build your own fundraising page that you can share with your friends and family. 

Post photos of your commitment and support to your social media pages using the hash tag #hikeforhospice or #seatoskyshospicesociety

Help us reach our goal of raising $75,000 for our community by showing your support and joining the fun all in the name of hospice.

Your generosity is needed to ensure continued access to this extra layer of care.

Your donation will guarantee:

• continued support for those facing end of life, caregivers, and those grieving the loss of a loved one through our Bereavement Support programs such as drop in grief groups, bereavement walks, book circles, authors talks, one on one counselling, community connection, Caregiver support and bereavement packages.
• comfort items for families at the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Sea to Sky Community Hospice, including home furnishings, a stocked kitchen, laundry supplies, bath items, garden spaces, chemo tea service and more.
• continued provision of a nationally approved volunteer training program.

By registering you agree to the following waiver:

Liability Waiver: I am the undersigned, and I am aware of the risks and hazards inherent with participating in Hike for Hospice 2024.  In consideration of my participating in Hike for Hospice 2024, I hereby release the Sea to Sky Hospice Society, and their directors, officers, instructors, employees, and agents of and from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage or injury, including death, that may be sustained by myself or any property of myself while participating in Hike for Hospice 2024, excepting always liability arising out of the independent negligent acts of the Sea to Sky Hospice Society.  I hereby voluntarily assume all risks of loss, damage or injury, including death that may be sustained by myself or property of myself.  This release shall be binding upon my heirs, executors and administrators.

Release of information: I also give permission to be interviewed, photographed or videotaped on behalf of the Sea to Sky Hospice Society. I understand that these interviews, photographs or films will be used only for the Sea to Sky Hospice Society public relations purposes.
