This year's Hike for Hospice takes place throughout the month of May. I'll do my very best to engage in active transportation all month - walking and cycling are my choices - but my (our) biggest contribution to this very important event is face painting at the celebration event on May 27th! Well, that and fundraising for this wonderful cause - my in-person experience with Hospice began with a few family members who were supported by Hospice in Victoria. A few years ago my dad spent his last few days in our Sea to Sky Hospice and I was able to see first-hand the direct benefits to him and to all of us in the family that were afforded by this wonderful place and its wonderful people. Shortly after Dad's death I was asked if I would volunteer for the Hospice Society board and I was delighted to be able to say yes. I believe firmly in the work of Hospice and I ask for your donations to keep the work going.
