The Jewish Public Library was founded over 100 years ago as a place for the Jewish communities of Montreal to share and explore knowledge and cultural heritage. Today, the Jewish Public Library is open to all and provides the full range of library services to meet the cultural, educational, informational and recreational needs of its users - from the latest best sellers to scholarly research facilities.
Library services include book loans (in print, audio and e-book format), cultural and life-long learning programming, subscription services, archival and special collection curation and preservation, and a dedicated children's library. We are proud to be able to serve our users in English, French, Hebrew, Yiddish and Russian.
