In any given year, 1 in 5 people in Canada will personally experience a mental health problem or illness. By age 40, about 50% of the population will have or have had a mental illness. At one time, we have all been affected directly (ourselves) or indirectly (a loved one) by a mental health issue. Please join our team in raising awareness and reducing the stigma associated with schizophrenia!

On World Schizophrenia Day, the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta (SSA) is hosting their Annual Strides of Hope Walk on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm, in honor of World Schizophrenia Day! Wear purple, snap a photo, and share it on your social media using the hashtags #WorldSchizophreniaDay and #SSAStridesofHope.

If you would like to donate, please click on the 'Donate Now' button on this page. All funds raised go directly towards the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta's programs and services that are offered through 6 branches and 3 housing programs.
