The Church of The Messiah has been seeking God and serving Toronto's Annex community and beyond for over 125 years. The Church of the Messiah is a church of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto.
The Church of the Messiah operates the Avenue Road Food Bank, a Daily Bread member food bank. As of spring 2023, the Avenue Road Food Bank provides food support to more than 400 households each week from the Bell Tower door at Avenue and Dupont. With financial support from our donors we are able to purchase supplemental items, including milk, eggs and bread and supplies.
The Church of the Messiah supports the Good Neighbours Food Market that runs weekly from the basement of a Toronto Community Housing building at 250 Davenport Road. The Good Neighbours Food Market provides community members with lower-cost produce for purchase in a area with few local lower cost food retailers.
