Mission

Camp Péniel’s mission is to be a place of spiritual renewal and rest for young people, families and groups of all ages. It provides conferences, training and outdoors and arts activities based on Christian values.

Vision

1. Make God’s love known to the young people of Québec

Camp Péniel reaches nearly two hundred young campers between the ages of 7 and 17 each summer. A major part of these young people were not from a Christian background and therefore had heard of Jesus very little, if at all. It is in an atmosphere of love, listening and open mind that the staff, speakers and directors encourage, counsel and challenge young people, so as to create solid relationships with them. During the summer, all of Camp Péniel’s workers are volunteers whose only motivation is to communicate God’s love to them. All through the year, these new relationships between staff members and young people often continue to develop, as staff members support and help them face their daily challenges. Each year, we have 7 to 8 different weeks of camps for all ages, as well as family camps, making it possible for parents and children to spend a memorable week filled with fun, discoveries and restfulness.

2. Provide a place of spiritual renewal and rest for everyone

Camp Péniel is looking forward to serving churches and its community. With its breathtaking lake, river and environment, we make it possible to organize retreats in a place of spiritual renewal and rest. Our beautiful and comfortable facilities, with trained and qualified staff, will meet the expectations of clients of all ages.

3. Be a launching pad for young leaders of Québec

Camp Péniel has provided special training for young leaders since 2013. Reaching participants from several church families, these training sessions are aimed at helping young Quebecers to become a next generation of wiser and stronger leaders. By addressing current issues, these intensives conferences are most relevant and rewarding. Focusing on sharing, prayers and meditations, these training sessions are more and more popular. We are very encouraged to see an increase number of young people wanting to become involved in society while walking with God. In addition, the duties and responsibilities assumed by young leaders at Camp Péniel during the summer season make it a place where leadership skills and initiatives are highly developed.
