Empowering TCDSB Students to Focus on their Education

More than 30 per cent of Toronto families live on less than $20,000 a year. Many parents are working for minimum wage, juggling more than one part-time job without benefits or have lost employment over the past year due to COVID-19 emergency measures and closures.

Your help is needed more than ever! Donations are being accepted now via our Canada Helps platform to assist our relief efforts. You will have the option to direct your funds to either the AFL’s new FOOD FOR KIDS! student home nutrition program, or the AFL Social Work Emergency Fund (SWEF).

Our students face assorted challenges that affect their ability to achieve their best. Through the support of donors, sponsors and volunteers, The Angel Foundation for Learning is able to support, inspire, and nurture students through our Four Wings of Support:

Student Nutrition Program - Each school day, over 67,000 students receive healthy meals and snacks.

School Allocations - Approximately $50,000 is distributed annually to ensure that all students can participate in excursions and other educational opportunities.

Student Equity Guardian Angel Funds - Warm clothing, food, hearing aids, eyeglasses, epipens and school uniforms are just some of the necessities of life that these funds address.

Bursaries and Awards - Encourage students to pursue further education and dreams.
