Our Mission

Crime Stoppers is a PEI based non-profit organization, encompassing the

community, the media, and law enforcement agencies, established to assist in crime prevention and promotion of safer communities.

PEI Crime Stoppers is not a law enforcement agency nor is it associated to any one enforcement or police service. Our Board of Directors is made up of volunteer community members, the media, and law enforcement representatives.

About PEI CRIME STOPPERS

PEI Crime Stoppers began in 1988 and has been growing ever since. Since its inception, information received by Crime Stoppers and provided to law

enforcement agencies has helped solve 934 crimes and resulted in the

recovery of $2,595,952.00 in stolen goods and illegal drugs in Island

communities.

Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming two key elements that inhibit community involvement: Fear and Apathy.

As our program relies entirely on donations from private citizens, organizations, local business, government and fund raising activities, all contributions are significant. We have been proud of our record in serving communities throughout Prince Edward Island, and to ensure that we are able to continue to operate our program in the future, we find it necessary to ask for financial support. By working together we can create safer communities for all Islanders!
