❄️8th Annual Winter Solstice Run's Fundraiser❄️

Ho, Ho, Hold On!!! Like almost everything else, the Winter Solstice Run will also look different this year.

Normally, participants gather bright and early on run morning. We bring or make our donations, chat with friends, pump up the jolly, enjoy a social run or walk and then gather around the fire to enjoy potluck goodies and hot coffee from Gallagher's at the Finish Line. It's always been a wonderful way to come together, share some cheer and build community spirit.

While we won't be able to gather together in person this year, we can still do so virtually - both for the run and to help those in need in our community.

One way Winter Solstice Run participants and supporters can do this is by donating to SHARE.

SHARE is a non-profit, independent, community based organization providing leadership and programs in response to the social needs of the residents of the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra), New Westminster and adjacent communities. High on the list of SHARE’s priorities is combating the poverty experienced by individuals, families and children in our community. Food and shelter are necessities for living and should be attainable to all people - in the Tri-Cities and beyond. 

SHARE Family and Community Services exists to Connect, Engage, and Strengthen Individuals and Families. This is exactly what we all need, this year more than ever!

The Winter Solstice Run's vision is much like that of SHARE's. One of a strong and inclusive community that welcomes everyone to live, participate, contribute and reach their full potential.

At a time when we may be feeling isolated, disconnected or at a loss of how we can make these days feel brighter and more hopeful, let's take this opportunity to build community by rallying together as a community for our community!

Reach out, leave a positive message when you make your donation, encourage others to donate.

So many more people and families are struggling to make ends meet this year. The demand on food banks and charitable organizations continues to increase.

Let's do all that we can to help make the load a little lighter and days a little brighter for anyone who needs a helping hand this year.

Eg. For the SHARE Food bank: every $1 that is donated, SHARE can stretch it into $3-$5 

That is a lot of buying power!

Donations from Winter Solstice Run participants have continued to increase year after year & I am confident that trend will surely continue this year.

❄️To help get the snowball rolling....

I will pledge a donation to SHARE of $1.00 for each Winter Solstice Run participant/supporter & make a minimum donation of $100.00.
