This endowment fund has been established at the Community Foundation of PEI by the PEI rugby community as a tribute to the memory of Brodie McCarthy, an academic student who was well-liked, athletic and very fun-loving.
The Brodie McCarthy Memorial Leadership Scholarship Fund has been created in Brodie's name to establish scholarships that will be granted annually in his memory to a Montague Regional High School graduating student who combines leadership, community involvement, academics, and athletics, and who will be attending a post secondary institution in the fall.
Brodie McCarthy was a popular, fun-loving, proficient high school student and athlete who passed away as the result of a tragic accident while playing rugby, one of his favourite sports.
We thank you for your support in helping us establish this memorial fund in Brodie's honour.
