Nidus, based in BC, is a world leader in this emerging and dynamic field of law and practice. Our expertise has become more urgent with the aging population.
1. In BC, Representation Agreements under section 7 (RA7) enable adults, whose capability to understand is in question, to get help without losing their rights through adult guardianship. Nidus provides free legal forms.;
2. In BC and other provinces, adults who are considered competent to understand can make legal documents in advance, in case their capability to understand comes into question due to illness or disease (like Covid-19, dementia) or due to injury (like a severe stroke, bad fall, car accident).
