To encourage, promote and provide breastfeeding, chestfeeding and human milk feeding support and educational opportunities as an important contribution to the health of children, families and society.
About LA LECHE LEAGUE CANADA
LLLC is a national organization with 400-plus accredited, trained, volunteer Leaders who operate over 200 groups where parents meet to gather information and resources pertinent to achieving a satisfying nursing relationship. In addition, we offer information on a wide range of topics so that parents can make informed choices which best suit the unique needs of their families. We operate a 1-800 referral line and provide information and telephone support to approximately 50,000 parents per year.
LLLC is the host of educational seminars for health care professionals in several locations across Canada every year where professionals can access current, evidence-based breastfeeding information and learn from internationally recognized, breastfeeding/chestfeeding experts.
