Our Mission
The purpose of the SPRA Society is to promote and encourage the appreciation and study of the history of the South Peace River Country of Alberta by acquiring, preserving, and making accessible to the public, records in any format which reflect the history of the area.

SPRA is a community Archives with holdings from Municipal Governments, Organizations and Institutions, Businesses and Individual and Family collections. Our processed holdings include 460 individual collections containing 125 linear metres of textual records, 62,780 photographic images, 684 paper artifacts, 520 maps and blueprints, 387 sound recordings, 193 film and video recordings, 482 newspapers, and a 1306 volume library.
