About The Gatehouse Child Abuse Investigation & Support Site
Situated within a meticulously restored Victorian house, The Gatehouse offers vital support services for individuals whose lives have been touched by childhood abuse. We provide a secure haven for children to report abuse to the police, along with services tailored to address the needs of adult survivors of abuse. Our programs feature a unique service approach aimed at minimizing trauma in the aftermath of abuse. They are built on the foundation of referral and support within the wider social service framework.

Peer support group programs for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse offered online or in person. The Gatehouse's adult programs are guided by volunteers, many of whom have themselves been victims of childhood sexual abuse. Throughout the year, more than 60+ volunteers contribute to the delivery of programs.

Counselling for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse offered online or in-person, delivered by Counselling Psychology graduate students.
