About FONDATION MARTIN-MATTE

In 2007, the québécois comedian, Martin Matte, created the foundation to help people living with traumatic brain injury or a physical disability. This cause is particularly dear to his heart because for over 25 years, his brother has been living with the consequences of a severe traumatic brain injury. Prior to the actions of the Martin-Matte Foundation, specialized resources to help victims were non-existent in Quebec. 

In 2008, the foundation celebrated the opening of its first adapted house in Laval. A second one opened in 2011 in Sherbrooke. The third housing project was completed in December 2014 in Blainville.

In addition to financing the construction of housing projects, the Martin-Matte Foundation supports many organizations offering respite activities for victims and their families.
