With few years of hard work and collective effort, we have built a new facility that provides suitable capacity and utility conducive for carrying out the Halton-Peel Buddhist Cultural Society’s Vision and Mission.
Your funds contributes towards sustainable means to payoff the loans, the mortgage, and operations of the new “West End Buddhist Cultural and Meditation Centre” facility.
About HALTON PEEL BUDDHIST CULTURAL SOCIETY
Westend Buddhist Cultural and Meditation Centre/Vihara, managed by Halton-Peel Buddhist Cultural Society, established in December 1992 and located in Toronto, Mississauga, Canada provides spiritual, religious and cultural needs to the people in Toronto (GTA), Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and Milton.
Of the many regular services that the West End Buddhist Centre provides they conduct daily and weekend worship, Sunday Dhamma School with a student body of 350, ongoing weekly meditation sessions, weekly study session of the Suttas, and they have a growing enthusiastic youth forum. Buddhist study classes include teaching, Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhist Scriptural Studies, Pali, Sanskrit and Sinhala.
