Our Mission
The mission of The Royal Heraldry Society of Canada (originally founded in 1966 as The Heraldry Society of Canada) and its branches is to promote the study and practice of the heraldic arts, particularly in Canada, to support heraldic projects and to encourage an interest in the subject amongst Canadians.

The Royal Heraldry Society of Canada played the leading role in the forming of the Canadian Heraldic Authority in Ottawa, the official arms-granting authority in Canada within the office of the Governor General. The Royal Heraldry Society of Canada is actively engaged in advocating with governments for the protection and proper use of heraldry in Canada, providing to the public comprehensive websites located at www.heraldry.ca and/or the French version at http://fr.heraldry.ca and liaises with the Canadian Heraldic Authority on matters of mutual concern.
