Our Mission
The Saskatoon Symphony Society exists to enhance and reflect the artistic and cultural life of our community through exceptional orchestral music. We will accomplish our mission by focusing on:
1. Promoting classical and other symphonic music through diverse performances that strive for the highest possible artistic standard while reflecting the character of the community
2. Employing professional musicians who inspire, perform, and educate
3. Operating a fiscally responsible, healthy organization

Established in 1931, through a grant from the Carnegie Institute, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is nationally recognized as one of the most successful and oldest orchestras in the nation. Our vibrant orchestra is a pillar in Saskatoon Saskatchewan’s exciting artistic scene; contributing to our community’s healthy economy. The Saskatoon Symphony is acclaimed for its uncompromising pursuit of artistic excellence.
